Objective And Strategy

Strategy
The fund invests primarily in dividend-paying common stocks of larger, more established companies domiciled in the U.S. with market capitalizations greater than $4.0 billion. The fund's investment adviser considers these types of investments to be "blue chip" stocks. The fund generally looks to the average yield on stocks of companies listed on the S&P. The fund also ordinarily invests at least 90% of its equity assets in the stock of companies whose debt securities are rated at least investment grade, and the fund may invest up to 10% of its assets in equity securities of larger companies domiciled outside the U.S., so long as they are listed or traded in the U.S. The fund invests, under normal market conditions, 90% of its assets in equity securities.
